Resurrection Hope for the Weary Mom

Hey there, Mama 🤎

As I reflected on Easter—Resurrection Sunday—I was reminded of something so powerful:

Because Jesus rose and lived again… we can too.

We can live again.
We can begin again.

And the beautiful part about this gift is that we don’t have to wait until eternity to experience it. We get to experience it right now.

Even in motherhood.

Motherhood takes us through so many seasons. And sometimes, if we’re honest, it can feel like parts of us have died along the way. Not always the parts that needed to go—but sometimes the parts that were connected to our identity, our purpose, and who we were outside of being “mom.”

But I’m here to remind you, Mama:

Because Christ rose… you can begin again too.

Devotion: Resurrection Power Lives in You

Scripture:
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you...”
Romans 8:11 (NLT)

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead—the same power that defeated death, restored hope, and made what looked lost come alive again—lives inside of you.

Let that sink in. Sometimes motherhood can feel heavy. Sometimes it can feel like you’ve lost parts of yourself: your joy, your clarity, your sense of purpose.

But resurrection reminds us: loss is not the end of the story.

God is a Redeemer.

He knows the plans He has for you—plans for good and not evil, to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). And even when it feels like time has been lost, opportunities missed, or dreams delayed—God is able to redeem it all.

He restores.
He renews.
He revives.

And His Spirit helps us remember who we are. Not just as mothers…
But as women called, chosen, and purposed by Him.

Mama, you are not finished.
You are not behind.
You are not disqualified.

You are being renewed.

Take a Moment to Reflect

Take a moment to reflect:

  • What part of me feels like it has been “lost” in this season of motherhood?
  • Where do I need God to breathe life back into me?
  • What would it look like to believe I can begin again—right now?

Pray: Father, thank you for your redeeming power and allowing Jesus to raise from the dead for me. When I get discouraged, please remind me that becuase Jesus rose, I, too, can begin again.

Easter as a Reminder You Can Start Again: A Blog for the Christian Mom

As a working mom, the desire to “start again” can feel unrealistic—but Easter reminds us it’s possible. In this blog, I share how Resurrection Sunday reflects both spiritual and emotional renewal, especially for moms experiencing burnout and overwhelm. You don’t have to start over—you can begin again with grace, faith, and intention.

Mom Tips: Walking in Resurrection Hope

  1. Give yourself permission to begin again. You don’t have to wait for the “perfect time.”
  2. Reconnect with what brings you life. Pay attention to what stirs your spirit.
  3. Invite God into your next step. Ask Him, “What are You reviving in me?”
  4. Release the lie that it’s too late. God redeems time.

Faith-Filled Affirmation For the Week

"The same resurrection power that raised Jesus lives in me. I am not stuck—I am being renewed. I can begin again with hope, purpose, and strength."

Closing Encouragement

Mama, resurrection didn’t just happen for you—it’s happening in you.

So if this season has felt heavy…
if parts of you feel buried…
if you’ve wondered if it’s too late to rediscover yourself…

Hear this:

God is still in the business of bringing things back to life.

And that includes you.

Begin again.
Live again.
Hope again.

With love and resurrection hope,
🤎Karen

Hey there, Mama 🩷 Happy Mother’s Day! Today is your day. And while I pray you are showered with love, appreciation, hugs, flowers, cards, text messages, naps, laughter, and maybe even a hot meal you didn’t have to cook… I want you to remember something important: The most important part of today is that you give yourself permission to celebrate YOU. Not just as “mom.” But as the woman God handcrafted with intention. Mama, you were customized by God to be the perfect mother for the children in...

Young woman smiling in lush green foliage

Hey there, Mama 🤎 I can distinctly remember when I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a teacher… or a writer (an author, but I didn't use that word. Lol!) and even an actress. When I look back, God has been so good. I was blessed to be a teacher for about a decade and spent 17 years in education overall, and I truly loved it. But there were other things God placed on my heart too… writing, acting, creating. I’ve had glimpses of those dreams: singing in the choir, writing skits for...

A mom laying in her bed sleeping.

Hey there, Mama 🤎 I can remember my early years of motherhood so clearly. I was a young mom, working, a fairly new wife, and trying to be as active in church as possible. I wanted to do it all. Be everything. Show up everywhere. And if I’m honest, I still have moments now where I can feel myself drifting back into that same mindset. But back then, I didn’t realize I was burning myself out. I also didn’t understand that God’s love was not predicated on my output… not on how much I served, how...
